Our goal is to help our students realize their maximum physical and mental potential by teaching a well-balanced Tae Kwon Do Program designed to develop coordination, self-discipline, self defense, confidence and physical fitness in a non-threatening, positive environment.
All students are expected to follow dojahng (studio) rules and learn our student creed, which is based upon the teachings of the Hwarang-Do (Korean Knighthood):
• Be loyal to your country.
• Be obedient to your parents.
• Be truthful to your friends.
• Never retreat in battle.
• Never attack without just cause.
• Be truthful to yourself.
Tae Kwon Do is founded on five tenets that guide both students and teachers:
Courtesy ( Ye Ui ) To be polite and show consideration of others—courtesy enlightens the average man and helps bring about harmony within society.
Integrity ( Yom Chi ) Integrity is the guideline for how you should interact with others—to be honest and good, to earn respect and trust.
Perseverance ( In Nae ) One's internal drive that allows you to face rather than avoid challenges. On the road to achieve any goal, one must overcome obstacles before reaching success.
Self-Control ( Guk Ki ) To have discipline over your body (actions) and your mind (thoughts and reactions).
Indomitable Spirit ( Baekjool Boolgool ) Tae Kwon Do teaches courage in the face of adversity and to succeed without breaking another's spirit.
